Liberty Humane Society
Liberty Humane Society, located on Liberty State Park ( across from the Liberty Science Center) fosters a community of compassion and respect, and provides animals in need with a chance at a lifelong, loving home.
Animal care and sheltering is only one component of Liberty Humane Society’s comprehensive animal-welfare-program. We are a community resource through our Humane Education Program offered to elementary school students; through our low-cost neutering/spaying program; through our work with local rescue groups to assist and train community volunteers in feral-colony management to spay/neuter feral cats through our Trap/Neuter/Return Program; through our Pet-Loss Support Program for those who have lost a pet; and through our B.A. D. (Bullies are Deserving Dogs) Program that provides training and counseling in the adoption of pit bulls.
