Hudson County Improvement Authority
The Hudson County Improvement Authority (HCIA) is an autonomous public agency governed by a Board of Commissioners whose members are appointed by the Hudson County Executive and confirmed by the County's Board of Chosen Freeholders.
The HCIA provides strategic planning and coordination of public policy initiatives on behalf of Hudson County municipalities and residents. The authority is responsible for a vast range of services, which include low interest financing for public and private initiatives, solid waste management, recycling and transportation management, and environmental education.
Our Mission: To provide a wide range of services to residents and businesses of Hudson County at the least cost to taxpayers.
